transmission to Bombay from Singapore
arose
from
a new conviction
ford fresh crime, committed in the waters under the jurisdiction of the Government of the Straits' Settlements, and therefore the expenditure for such retransportation must clearly belong to that Government-
In event of your Lordship deciding that any portion of
the claim made by the Government of
the Straits Settlements should be
charged to this Colony, I would n respectfully suggest the necessity of a supplementary Estimate being
passed to meet this extra exprense_
